New Board Members Join Lowry Redevelopment Authority

Mayor Michael B. Hancock has appointed two new members to the Lowry Redevelopment Authority (LRA) Board of Directors. Both are long-time residents of Lowry.
John Ackerman is the Chief Commercial Officer at Denver International Airport, responsible for all revenue generating activities, including airlines, rental cars, parking, and concessions, commercial real estate development and production of natural resources. Ackerman is a former Marine Corps pilot, United Airlines pilot and manager, and was senior director of product management at Standard and Poor’s. He and his wife were among the first residents to move to Lowry in 1998. Ackerman has a BA in Economics from Duke University.
Rachel Neumann is a communications consultant to a variety of businesses and organizations, spanning travel and hospitality to financial services to nonprofits and start-ups. She was formerly director of communications for Exclusive Resorts, a luxury destination club, and the national communications director for MDC Holdings, Inc. / Richmond American Homes. Neumann has lived in the Lowry neighborhood since 2004. Her children attend Lowry Elementary School. She has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas at Austin.
